dc.description.abstractD-Lagoon drainage basin’s hydrology, run-off water quality and contaminant loads are estimated and the major source(s) of contaminants to D-Lagoon are identified. The particle size distribution and sedimentation behaviour of suspended solids in D-Lagoon are characterized and the contaminant removal mechanisms are identified. The growth, solids trapping and aluminum uptake by the pilot-scale floating wetland system are assessed and the performance of a full scale system is projected.
